Lazy Sunday- Day 24

Today was one of those lazy days. I love those once in a while. Well, Joey got his hair cut today and we did hit $ tree, but aside from that it was pretty relaxing. We got ice cream from Fosters Freeze(yummy for the tummy, but not great for the weight). We rearranged some of our family pictures, and basically did nothing. I loved it!!!

Sunny Saturday-Day23

We had the kids again today, we love them so much! I told the kids that after lunch we would go to the school and play( we live 1 block from the elementary school). After they had their chicken nuggets, fries and fruit it was time to clean up and boy did they do a good job, and quick too. I knew they could do it! There are 3 different playgrounds at the school and we tried all of them. We also got to see a big tree get cut down. Pretty exciting stuff! We came back, had some ice-cream and watched a movie. Good times!!!

Babysitting the kids-Day 22

We watched Tamaras kids today, and had a blast. Joey just loves when they come over. Of course we played Candyland (joeys favorite game) . It was too cold to go outside, but we had lots of fun indoors!

Rainy days at school-Day 21

Even though we had to stay inside at school for recess today, we had so much fun. Mrs. Raymond read some extra stories and had the kids total attention. It was so sweet. They got to go to the classroom's library and choose a book today, and got their first packet of homework for the new year. Yea!! Joey loves his homework, can you believe it!!! He is doing so much better with spelling his name and coloring. I am soooo proud of him, and truely love the time I am able to spend with him at school.

Here comes Uncle Eric- Day 20

My brother-in-law came to visit today, he is so much fun! He is the hip-to-the-times Uncle. I made homemade tacos, rice and beans. I have to admit, they were pretty darn good! Kaytlyn (my niece) came over to do her studies and play with joey for a while. Lots of fun!!!

Rain=couch=blanket=good movies-Day 19

We did go to school today...And that is about it! With weather like this I don't want to be anywhere else but on the couch, snuggled up watching movies!! Made an easy peesy dinner...Hot Dogs, mac-n-cheese and BBQ chips, watched American Idol and called it a night.

Surgery went just fine!-Day 18

My brother-in-laws fathers surgery went just fine....We have all been praying. He had a quadruple (not sure if I spelled it right) bypass today.. Get well soon Gran (thats what we call him)

Prayer for Juan's Dad-Day 17

Today I spent the day at home doing a few things, and in the evening I went into work for Carrie so she could go home. Juan's dad is having open heart surgery tomorrow, and Carrie needed to be home with the kids while Juan stayed at the hospital with his father. Lots of prayers go out to their family and for his father to have a full recovery.

New Tires-Day 16

I got my new tires today and an alignment too. Yipee! After that was done, we walked down to the dog park with wyatt or rather he walked me. Joey rode his bike and me and Sabrina walked with wyatt. It was such a nice day, and wyatt loves to go to the dog park and chase balls or frisbees. He is such a good and very friendly dog. Afterwards we came home, and made BBQ chicken, coleslaw,ranch beans and corn! YUMMY,YUMMY FOR OUR TUMMIES!!! It was a good day.

Kaytlyn's turn- day 15

Now it's Kaytlyn's turn to be sick. I told my sister to be extra careful so she herself doesn't get sick. For those of you who don't know my sister is 7 months preggers. Sabrina was sick this whole week, but feels better so she went to school today. After picking her up she just stayed with me so she wouldn't get sick again. She promised she wasn't sick anymore, and begged to stay the weekend. Of course I couldn't resist that face, but only if she was better. I sure as heck don't want my family getting it. Hope you feel better Katylyn, love you baby girl!

The Flu has hit my sisters house- Day 14

That nasty flu bug has found his way to my sisters house. Sabrina has been sick as a dog all week. Poor baby girl. Soup and 7up are on the menu for her, if she can keep it down. Get better baby girl, Love you!

Lazy Wednesday-Day 13

We stayed in our jammies all day. Snacking and watching movies with my boys!!! That pretty much sums up the day. Well, I have to admit, I did a load of laundry...But that was it! It's good for the soul to have a day that you basically do nothing....

School is finally here!!- Day 12

School is back in session....Finally. All moms know what I mean. I wish I would have taken my video camera(Isn't it always that way). Mrs. Raymond is his teacher, and she brought him to the front of the class, and showed all his friends his missing tooth. My son is also a big ham. She asked him "what happened to your tooth?" He said "It got loose." She said "What happened then?" He said " I pulled it right out" she said "Well what did you do with it?" He said "I put it under my pillow" She said " And what happened after that?" He looked at her for a minute and said  "The tooth fairy came to get it"  She said "Did she leave you anything?" Joey looks at his class and say's "She left me lot's of money" It was great, my son talks with his hands a lot to express himself...It was the cutest thing...I had a tear or two.

Monday, Monday- day 11

Getting ready for school tomorrow!!! Can't wait. Joey is so excited that break is finally over. He said he can't wait to show his friends his missing tooth. We did some clean-up in his room, and went through some toys for donation. This kid made out like a bandit for Christmas. He has so many toys, some of which he really doesn't play with anymore. We talked about it and decided to give some away to kids that might not have any toys. With that said, my son amazes me, he started digging through all his toys and he really gave a lot away. I had a plastic bin set aside for the toys to give away, and he filled it up. He has such a big heart. He also thought we were going to go door to door and give them away. Soooooo cute!!!!

Books and Beans- Day 10

Today we put on a pot of beans, wrapped up in a blanket and read books all day. We snacked on veggies and ranch, and mini sandwiches(peanut butter of course). My son has a very large collection of books, and he loves to read or be read to I should say. That is one thing that both of my children have always been into. They both love books and reading.....Me too!!!

Going to see Jake today- Day 9

We went to see Grandma Bev, Grandpa Ronnie and little Jake today. That little puppy gets bigger every time we see him, which is usually on Saturdays. He is just a mess. That puppy stage is so cute. His teeth are still very sharp, and Ronnie has the battle wounds to prove it. Mom made spinach dip, and some other snacks(she is famous for snacking). We had a good time and left with 2 bags of the best oranges in the world!!

Just driving around-Day 8

Just a few things to do today...Got all of them done quickly. My son had a good idea and this is what he said "Mommy, can we just drive?" He absolutely loves to go driving around. It doesn't matter where either. We take some snacks and juice boxes, and he sits in the way back as he calls it (we have 3rd row seating). He say's it's like a bus. We drive in the country and all around town. I have to admit I like it too. After that we came home, and he rode his bike around the block a couple of times. He just loves to be outside, and he is getting faster and faster on his bike. If I don't jog I will be left in the dust!

Talking with my best buddy- Day 7

While cleaning today, and I did get all of that extra cleaning done. You know how you get in those moods sometimes and you just start cleaning things that you don't do on a daily basis? Well I was in one of those moods. While doing this though, I was on the phone for most of the day with Aretha. We talk everyday and still don't run out of things to talk about. We have been doing this since we were 15 years old...I just love that girl!!!

Little bit of organizing-Day 6

Today I really wanted to go through my closets and get rid of stuff I really don't need. Do I really need all these blankets? I didn't realize how many I had. WOW!! What the heck was I thinking? Don't get me wrong, they were all folded neatly in my linen closet, but lets be realistic folks. We all have comforters on our beds with our own throw blankets folded at the foot of the bed. Having blankets for guests is fine, but the amount I had was a little crazy. Folded neatly or not...organized or not...Some of them just have to go.

Hanging with my Hubby-Day 5

Took Kaitlyn to school this morning. Got home and finished the rest of the pot of coffee, and off to the store for snacks and something special for dinner. When my hubby is off, we munch all day and watch movies. We watched a movie called Slow Burn, it was pretty good. We also played candyland...AGAIN and AGAIN!!!...Family fun is great!!!

Ultrasound-Day 4

Carrie had her 3rd ultrasound today. Everything looks good. Now we just wait for little Cassie to come and welcome us! I did a little running around today, and then went into to work for Carrie so she could go to the doctor. Then came home, made some snacks and watched the boob tube with my honey. Pretty good day....Oh, I almost forgot to mention....I loaded up on some 75 percent off Christmas candy at Rite Aide....It's soooooo hard to resist when it's that good of a deal....I guess I need to practice a little self control...LOL

Breakfast at almost noon?-Day 3

We woke up a little late, well the kids did...I get up with the chickens. We had bacon, eggs and Mickey Mouse pancakes....yummy! We layed around, watched movies, and played around on the computer...We are shopping for a new truck, so we, I mean Sabrina, was surfing the web for good deals. She picked out a few of her choices that SHE thinks would be good for us. She is such a funny girl. Anyway, it was fun! Now don't be disappointed Sabrina if we don't get a Charger or Corvette....TRUCK....Remember... We want a truck..LOL

Catching up-Day 2

Today I spent a bit of time on the phone catching up with my Aunt Darlene(Nene). She is just a sweetheart. I was going to visit her but she wasn't feeling well and didn't want me and Joey catching what she had. I then spent some time clearing out some of my closet and just getting rid of stuff. If I haven't had a use for it for a while, I got rid of it!!! The girls, Sabrina & Kaytlyn, came over to spend one last night before school started. We ate pizza, and they played with Joey, and watched movies. Fun, Fun, Fun!!!

Starting off the New Year - Day 1

I'm starting off the New Year with this new blog. My goal is to write on it everyday, even if it is just a few lines. I will write about my day, good or bad, and look back on all the days at the end of the year, like a journal. So far my first day is great. I spent the day doing absolutely nothing at all. Just what I wanted to do. That was my goal, and I accomplished it....Good for me!
